I'm currently typing this in the McDonald's along PA Route 30 in North Versailles. I remember when I was a kid and this place looked like shit. Now it's kind of nice; you can tell there was some attention paid to the overall aesthetic, in an attempt to make it look hip and stylish. This is the town in which I lived the majority of my life, from birth until I started college (in NVT, not the McDonald's). I graduated from East Allegheny High School, which is between 5 and 10 minutes from where I currently sit depending on traffic and how much the traffic signals like you on any given day. I now attend Indiana University of Pennsylvania, in lovely Indiana, PA. My life has changed drastically since starting there. Mostly in good ways, I think. I won't get into those finer details now, for they are long and often depressing. Suffice it to say that I've learned more than I thought I would in college, have taken on more responsibility than I ever thought I would, and have made the best friends and had some of the best experiences of my life. I can only hope those things stay on the same track in the future.
It's a pain in the ass to have your computer crash. I just got mine back up after a bout of chronic blue-screening, and I'm struggling to recover the purchased contents of my iTunes. Music's always been a huge part of my life, and will continue to be, but it helps when you have your music available to you. Apple really likes to make this part difficult when it comes to redownloading your songs onto an already authorized machine. Bastards. I listen to a lot of what would be called "emo" by the masses, though there are an infinite number of tags and genres to attach to these bands. I also enjoy the classics and a good bit of metal, punk, and hardcore (of which the latter 2 often get lumped in with the emo thing, but again, I don't think it really matters all that much). Some of the bands are listed above.
I'm 22 years old, a senior in college looking at what could potentially be a 10 or 11 semester college career for the sake of teaching high school kids English, a drinker, a Joker, a gamer, a writer hoping to be published some day (and a reluctant autobiographer), an emo-kid/punk-rocker (whatever either of those things still mean), a middle-leaning liberal (make sense of that), and in many ways a child (though I'd like to think those ways are healthy). I'm afraid that's all you get for now. I need to get the hell out of this McDonald's, with iTunes content or not. No matter how classy these places look it's still an annoying fast-food joint.
